Compare single phase generator and three phase generator
The main difference between the two generators is how they deliver power. Both generators produce the same type of power as electricity, but the way it is produced is very different.
Single phase generators produce electricity in a continuous alternating voltage wave. This causes a varying degree of the electric wave.
In the case of 3-phase generators, they generate power with three separate waves. These three separate waves help ensure that the voltage level never drops. This is not the same as what happens in single-phase waves. So a 3-phase generator produces a more constant power level than a single-phase generator.
Single phase generators generate electrical power up to 240V while 3-phase generators can be up to 415V. Single phase alternator operates in only one conductor. Therefore, if any fault occurs on the network, the entire generator will stop working. 3-phase generators are different.
And the last thing is that a single-phase generator is suitable for powering household appliances with small loads. 3-phase generator suitable for large loads, industrial loads.
